The youngest among 11 siblings, she was her parents' closest confidante. Many of her formative years were spent assisting with family gardening and contributing to the design of their expansive 11-bedroom residence. Her mother, recognizing Maylyn's innate flair for detail and design, frequently sought her insights on home aesthetics. This early exposure ignited Maylyn's life long passion for design. Though she never returned to New York for business studies post high school, her enthusiasm for home remodeling never waned.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Maylyn cherishes quality time with her grandson, indulges in reading, savors cooking sessions, or finds solace by the pool immersed in praise and worship tunes. The tranquility of gardening, reminiscent of her childhood, remains a cherished pastime.
